hAPpY tHAnKsGiViNG...

Totally different way of spending thanksgiving this year... first I woke up at 4am so that I would be on time to meet my friend Kecia of Lemoncholoy to go off on a treasure hunt at the Columbus Flea Market... Temperature wise it was cold, but finding some most reasonable goodies was hot... I think we both came home with a fair amount of goodies for an early morning of adventure...thanks Kecia for asking me along, I had a grand time...

Then the rest of the day was just chilling with my pup boyz & hanging at home.... I know that the holiday is all about family, and it is ~ but its also about giving thanks... I felt that I needed time with myself that I don't have much of... honestly being by myself didn't make me feel bitter or sad... it gave me time to reflect what has gone past in this year of 2010. How certain decisions produce different out comes, & how God & life can surprise you...

Celebrating by myself gave me the opportunity to experiment a little with one or two of the dishes that I ate which was a good thing... I feel that you could be in a crowd of people and feel alone but you can be on your own and not feel alone... I hope that made sense... Life is definitely too short whether you're 102 or 22 ~ you need to bee in that moment & just enjoy the ride that God has provided for you...

I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving & many blessings 2...

Grace Peace & joy

By joe, I've think I've got it... the mojo of assembling & creating an eye catching booth... I've been having fun lately getting treasures & goodies for my small booth in Monmouth Antique Shoppes...
You can see my the variety of things that I have it my booth that I LOVE collecting and making little scenes with the treasures I find...if you look to your right I have your 40's 50's vintage kitschy kitchen items... then to your left I the shabby chic bedroom and front and center is your cottagey sitting area...
I tried to mix but at the same time I tried to pull everything together... you can kind of say that I have a little of "I Love Lucy" meets "Laverne & Shirley" going on in my booth... well I hope you like my tiny little place I call "Home away from Home".... come & visit, stay & chat, & have a cup of tea or a little gin ~ make yourself at home...
Please feel free to leave a suggestion or two, or what you like or dislike about the booth ~ I would greatly appreciate all of your comments...
Well I'm going to call it a night...I hope you enjoyed your stay... please stop by again...now I'm off to read & dream of more ideas for my spot I call "HOME"...
Have a honey of a night ~ sweet dreams!
